Two decades ago, Brompton founder Andrew Ritchie first started receiving enquiries to sell Brompton bikes further afield. Tourists visiting London and other European cities had seen these compact folding bikes whizzing around the streets and wanted one for themselves. Bromptons soon started appearing in neighbourhoods across the Asia Pacific region and were an instant hit.
2019 will mark 20 years from when the first Brompton bikes were sold in Asia. We celebrate this milestone with the new and exclusive 20 Years in Asia Gold Edition, that represents good fortune and prosperity. Exclusively for Asia and made in limited numbers, only 1,000 bikes are to be produced in this special edition run.
